All good things must come to an end. On Tuesday afternoon, we hit the road to head home. It was a rough first day with lots of tears and sadness. Luckily, by the time we stopped for dinner, our spirits were beginning to lift a little. We found an awesome restaurant, with awesome comfort food and I think all three of us ate our emotions that night, lol. We didn't get to our first hotel until super late, so it was just sleep and go.
The second day of our road trip was much better. We only had a quick (4 hour) drive to Hershey PA, where our second hotel was. The drive was beautiful, and by the time we got to Hershey, we were ready to have a great time at Chocolate World!
On Thursday morning, we got back in the car to start the final leg of our long ride home. It was nice to see mom and dad and my bff. But when we laid down to sleep that night, the finality of our vacation was heavy in both our hearts.
I'm sure we will have lots of other fun adventures this summer, but none will compare to our second home and the times we had there.
