Well what a wonderful day we had! Our destination today was the 400 mile "yard sale" that travels from one end of Kentucky to the other. In honor of the locals we will lovingly call it a "yard sale", because when we tried to ask someone here about the "tag sale" they had no idea what we were talking about! Its just another one of those things that is different about Kentucky!
To differ a little from our norm, we decided to take the highway on the first leg of our journey. It is amazing how beautiful even the highways are here. We did run into a little bit of trouble when we got off the highway. As we were following our wonderful GPS is tried to tell us we were traveling in the middle of nothing. Just green field. We think it might be time up update it.
It did take us a while to finally find what we were looking for, but the drive was so beautiful, we hardly noticed. We came around a bend and suddenly, there it was, a little grouping of tents and tables on the side of the road. We browsed for a while, and while talking with one of the couples there, discovered that they had been to the flea market in Brimfield. They told us that the one in Brimfield is "the best in the nation". And then they gave us a good deal on a Kentucky pin!
After that, we got back in the car and continued our drive, our very long drive. We were honestly ready to give up and hop on the highway when we came upon another, larger group of tents! It was there that we had the pleasure of meeting Neal James, one of the people on the show "Call of the Wild man" on Animal Planet. We have to make a confession, we didn't really know who he was, but he offered us an autographed picture of himself and he was wicked nice!
So, after driving our fair share of the 400 mile sale and having the luck of meeting a celebrity, we decided it was time to head home. Of course this time we went back roads, which was a great idea, because the sites were worth the longer drive.
We spent the rest of the evening relaxing at home with Papa-Bear, who had dinner ready for us when we got home. Another long and lovely day in Kentucky. Now we are ready to turn in, since we have another adventure planned tomorrow! Hopefully we will be in lavender as far as the eye can see, but we will wait until tomorrow to give you the details on that!
Till then...

Summer is officially here! Hope our adventures are as fun for you as they are for us, enjoy!
